Please read the rules of your communal.

Welcome to Communal House! We are committed to providing you with a comfortable and enjoyable stay in all our properties. Below is the detailed rental policy for all renters residing in our spaces.

Please understand that each communal house has its own rules. If at any time you are having a misunderstanding or would like to file a grievance, please reach out to our Communal House Care Team. All information provided will be handled discreetly and confidentially.

Communal House Renter's Policy

1. Booking and Payment Terms:

  •  Reservation Options: Renters can select from weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly rental periods. Please note that weekly rentals are priced slightly higher than monthly ones, reflecting a flexible stay option.

  •  Long-Term Stays: We encourage month-to-month leases for long-term residency, fostering stability and community.

  •  Rental Agreement: Renters are required to sign a month-to-month lease agreement prior to moving in.

2. House Rules Compliance:

  •  Each property has specific house rules; these must be discussed with and acknowledged by the house manager on the first day. Renters are required to sign a House Rules form.

  •  Compliance with these rules is mandatory, and failure to do so may lead to termination of the agreement.

3. Security Deposits and Damages:

  •  A small security deposit is required upon confirmation of the booking. This deposit will be refunded at the end of your stay, provided no damages occur.

  •  Renters are responsible for any damages to the property during their stay. Costs for repairs or replacements will be deducted from the security deposit or billed if costs exceed the deposit.

4. Payment Portal and Late Charges:

  •  Renters must use the online portal for all payments, which is designed to track and facilitate timely transactions.

  •  Payments should be made promptly, with a grace period of five days. Late payments will incur additional charges.

5. Eviction and Debt Recovery:

  •  Renters failing to make payments or violating house rules may face eviction. Any eviction-related costs, including court filings, are the responsibility of the renter.

  •  Renters agree to cover any debt collection costs arising from unpaid rents or damages.

6. Personal and Background Verification:

  •  All renters must undergo a background check when applying for a different location to ensure the safety and harmony of the communal living environment.

  •  A location-specific questionnaire must be completed, tailored to the property, gender considerations, and any location-specific requirements.

7. Communal Living Expectations:

  •  Renters are expected to respect communal spaces, maintain cleanliness, and engage in constructive communication with fellow residents.

  •  Any location-specific policies will be outlined by the house manager and should be strictly followed to foster a collaborative living atmosphere.

Please ensure that you read and understand these terms carefully. Should you have any questions or require clarifications, do not hesitate to contact your designated house manager. We look forward to welcoming you to our community and ensuring your stay with Communal House is both comfortable and rewarding.
